Outline of research
I am working to develop technology that will be useful in applying biological information obtained from human cells and in obtaining bio-functional molecules for drug screening and regenerative medicine research. I devote most of my energy to several topics about which I am particularly curious: (1) development of cell morphology–based quality-assessment technology; (2) peptide functionalization and screening-enhancement technology using bioinformatics and high-throughput array-type technology; (3) effective rule extraction from medical and industrial-processing data, using both bioinformatics analysis and wet experiments; (4) software development for drug-screening assistance, specifically in regard to high-throughput evaluation of cells; and (5) development of automation technology, bioreactors, and operational tools to support medical therapies.
