Outline of research
I aim to elucidate the mechanisms that control cellular lifespan and aging, using yeast as a model organism. In addition, I am trying to clarify the signal-transduction mechanisms of two-component regulatory systems, especially the mechanisms underlying reception of external stimuli by histidine kinases in E. coli, yeast, and cyanobacteria.
