Outline of research
Realization of rapid, less expensive, and less wasteful production of pharmaceuticals is one of the most important tasks in a drug development field. Synthetic organic chemistry has a significant role to achieve the goal. Our group focuses on resolving the task based on development of synthetic engineering technologies such as micro-flow synthesis technologies and automated synthesis technologies. These technologies allow us to obtain a deeper understanding of organic chemistry that leads to creation of truly efficient synthetic processes.
We pursue creation of efficient synthetic processes that can not be achieved by using conventional synthetic approaches.
(1) Creation of efficient synthetic processes based on a use of highly reactive species that can not be controlled by using conventional flask techniques.
(2) Creation of efficient synthetic processes for the next generation pharmaceuticals such as peptide-based drugs and oligonucleotide-based drugs.
(3) Development and utilization of automated synthesis technology, AI, and theoretical calculations toward deeper understanding of organic chemistry.
